ABOUT THIS EVENT
Visit Cline Observatory on Friday, 5 April, from 8:30-10:30 p.m. (weather permitting) for a free public viewing session (weather permitting), as part of the NC Science Festival's Statewide Star Party. Take a look through telescopes to get an up-close view of objects in the night sky!
This year’s theme is “Sun & Moon” in honor of the solar eclipse on Monday, 8 April 2024. We will have eclipse-related materials, activities, and information at the session. We will also host an eclipse viewing session on the 8th (1:30-4:30 p.m., weather permitting).
If it is cloudy on 5 April, we will postpone this session to Friday, 12 April (or the next clear Friday night).
For session status updates, monitor @GTCCASTRO on Twitter.
The NC Science Festival's annual Statewide Star Party is made possible through the generous support of the NC Space Grant.
