ABOUT THIS EVENT
The Boys and Girls Club of the Plateau in partnership with Western Carolina University’s Department of Chemistry and Physics will host a free evening telescope viewing party on the campus of the Boys and Girls Club of the Plateau in Cashiers, on Friday, April 4th beginning at 7:30 pm. Astronomy faculty from WCU will be on hand with telescopes to show the Moon, Mars, star clusters and galaxies. They will also teach how to identify spring constellations and lead activities for children. Dress warmly!
In case of bad weather or overcast skies, the viewing will be postponed to Friday April 11th at the same time and location.
The NC Science Festival’s annual Statewide Star Party is made possible through the generous support of the NC Space Grant.
