Nature's innovation: Native or Invasive? We're hosting a Trash Fish Tournament at Lumber River! This is a catch-and-release fishing event to spotlight the bowfin and raise awareness of the importance of preserving native species. The dedicated rangers from Lumber River State Park will provide fascinating insights into the river's ecosystem and the battle against invasive species. Great prizes will be available for the winners of this fishing competition, so come enjoy a day on the river while you learn about the conservation of an important native species. 

This event is hosted by the NC Science Trail at Lumber River State Park.
