ABOUT THIS EVENT
Guest presenter Brenda Bhatti will join us for an evening program about bats, one of the most misunderstood and misrepresented creatures.
The event will include an indoor introduction to the bats of North Carolina with a follow-up Q&A session. The program will then continue outside for an optional little walk around for participants who would like to join in the search for bats in their natural habitat using bat detection technology (pending suitable weather conditions; sightings not guaranteed, but we'll look for them!).
The program is suitable for older children (≥8) through adults. Bug repellent, jackets, nighttime walking/hiking footwear, and flashlights are recommended. NO live bats will be in the building or presented in close proximity to participants.
