Funding from the Duke Energy Foundation allows NCSciFest staff to produce STEM activities and resource kits for use by elementary schools across the state. This program is designed to help you host a fun science event for your students and their families with the use of a kit that includes hands-on activities aligned with K-5  science standards, a planning guide, activity instructions, materials for up to 200 participants, and the support of NCSciFest staff.

Kits can be purchased Aug 2 - Sep 10 2021. Kits will ship mid-Feb 2022. Schools hold their family science event during April 2022, bringing families together as a community to explore the amazing world of science as part of the North Carolina Science Festival.

The preorder deadline is September 10, 2021. You will receive an invoice and payment instructions via email (mpsc_reservations@email.unc.edu) within 3 business days. Please add this email address to your contacts to be sure our correspondences do not get caught in your spam filter.

We require payment in advance so that we can procure the kit materials. Prepayment is required by October 1, 2021 to complete your purchase and confirm your kit. Cancellations will not be accepted after October 1, 2021. Note that supplies are limited. Fulfillment will occur in the order we receive payments. Kits will ship in mid-February, 2022.
