ABOUT THIS EVENT
Join The Nest at Kidzu every first Friday for FREE themed STEM activities! Admission is free for both Open Play Nest Sessions, 9:00-12:00 and 2:00-5:00. Come anytime within the 3 hour window and enjoy an hour of child-directed play, collaborative art projects, and STEM activities with your child. Story time will happen on the hour within the sessions.
This month, come play in the Nest and engage in infant and toddler-friendly activities about the Super Solar System!
The Nest is Kidzu Children Museum’s early learning environment for infants, toddlers, and their caregivers. Designed for children under three, The Nest is a place for children and caregivers to play and learn together with materials meant for exploration and experimentation.
Family First Fridays are monthly programs featuring free all-day museum admission and free Nest admission with a range of facilitated STEMonstrations by real world scientists, artists, and makers. Kidzu is proud to have earned a 2023 NC GlaxoSmithKline Foundation Ribbon of Hope award, which will make STEAM and Kidzu’s makerspace, The Makery, accessible to all! Additional support from the Grable Foundation and the NC Science Museum Grant Program.
