Funding from the Duke Energy Foundation allows South Carolina's Coalition for Mathematics & Science (SCCMS) to partner with NCSciFest staff to prodce STEM activities and resource kits for use by elementary schools in the Duke Energy service area. This program is designed to help you host a fun science event for your students and their families with the use of a kit that includes hands-on activities aligned with K-5 Science Standards, a planning guide, activity instructions, materials for up to 200 participants, and the support of SCCMS. The Duke Energy Foundation sponsorship funds a limited number of kits to award at no charge. These are awarded to schools using an application process that includes a review of school need, demographics, and geography. Please discuss the program and application with school administrators and staff before applying. If you have questions, please contact Tracey Campbell, SCCMS Director of Special Projects by email (tcampbell@s2temsc.org) or phone (843-274-4087). Application deadline is November 1, 2021. Schools will be notified on November 8, 2021 and are expected to confirm their committment to hosting an event by November 15, 2021 due to the limited number and high demand. Kits will ship in mid-February, 2022.
